Class Descriptions
Vinyasa Flow Yoga Foundations:
Excellent for beginners, Foundations is a gentler slower paced practice easing muscles into a greater range of motion. More time is spent in each asana (pose) refining proper alignment, awareness and breath.
Mixed Level Vinyasa Flow
Appropriate for all experience levels. Mixed level vinyasa is a quicker paced class with more complex asana. Participants are encouraged to listen to their own body sensations letting go of competition and determining their own pace.
Vinyasa Flow Level 3/4
Appropriate for more experienced students, level 3/4 introduces arm balances, inversions and more complex asana.
Gentle/ Supported Yoga
Using chairs and other props to gently encourage body openings, supported yoga is appropriate for Seniors, those recovering from illness/ injury, or those new to movement.
Currently, mixed level vinyasa flow yoga classes are being taught at Hammondsport Central School’s Library on Thursday evenings, Please check the calendar page for any schedule or location changes. Classes are established independently in response to requests and interest. Specialty $15.00/ class
When purchasing 6 or 8 classes, you may choose any classes offered on the calendar during that time period.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat and any other props you may be accustomed to (blankets, straps, blocks etc.) If attending your first class, please print and complete the waiver/ parent/guardian signature page to bring with you.
